In terms of specific market share ranking, the ranking of the top five cloud computing vendors in 2021 remained the same as the previous year, with Amazon ranking first with a share of 47.4%, followed by Microsoft (14.3%), Alibaba Cloud (7.4%), Google Cloud (5.1%), and IBM (3.1%). Among them, Alibaba Cloud is also the only Chinese vendor to enter the top three. After that, the sixth to tenth places were HUAWEI CLOUD, Tencent Cloud, China Telecom, Baidu Cloud and OVHcloud, all of which are Chinese vendors.

It is reported that in addition to ranking third in the global market, Alibaba Cloud has also ranked first in the Asia-Pacific cloud computing market for a long time. Currently, Alibaba Cloud has established 26 regional nodes and 82 availability zones around the world, covering more than 200 countries and regions.

In terms of systems, Alibaba Cloud has the only self-developed cloud operating system Feitian in China, and its core technical capabilities such as computing, storage, networking, and security have achieved global leadership in authoritative evaluations.

It is worth mentioning that IDC's data is similar to the data released by another industry analyst organization, Gartner. According to Gartner data, the top five cloud service vendors are Amazon, Microsoft, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud and HUAWEI CLOUD.
